Recycled Lab Plastics

Microspec have been a fully circular manufacturer for over 5 years. Anything they supply can taken back to be remanufactured into lab products, or where this is not feasible into non-lab products such as benches - available to purchase for your campus, hospital site or science park. Microspec operates from a purpose built production facility in Bromborough in the UK, close to the Lampadina head office. All manufacturing is performed on state of the art equipment, including injection moulding equipment, advanced robotics, extrusion blow moulding, bottling lines, clean rooms and laboratories. Microspec products are supplied worldwide and they are a trusted manufacturer for a huge variety of laboratories in many different fields including clinical, environmental, veterinary and pharmaceutical. In keeping with our company ethos of sustainability Microspec only use recyclable materials.

Microspec loops and spreaders are manufactured using 100 tonne injection moulding machines and advanced robots. Their mould tools are maintained in on site tool rooms to the highest standards to avoid sharp edges on the final product. Microspec offer a range of different sized loops, needles, Wedge shaped® and L shaped spreaders. Each are available in different inner pack types and outer pack configurations. Bespoke packing configurations are available subject to a minimum order of 100 boxes.

Their Wedge Shaped Spreader (design registered) is unique to Microspec and offers the advantage of moving the pressure on the spreader to the centre of the head avoiding the tendency of the spreader to flip in use and giving a much more even inoculum.

Loops and spreaders are aseptically manufactured in cleanrooms giving a sterility assurance level of 10-3. Microspec also offer Ethylene Oxide terminally sterilised product giving a SAL of 10-6.

Products are offered both in boxes of 500 or 1000 and also in Ecopacks for larger users to avoid wasting packaging.
